How the mark works
The assessed product carries five component marks. The total out of 100 is computed from those marks, never assigned — so the number cannot be nudged without changing a component mark that has to be defended in writing.
What “rank” means here
It means the mark out of 100 — the weighted total below. It does not mean a position in a league table. This site assesses one product and says so on every page that shows the mark; it is not a survey of the market, and nothing here should be read as “first out of a field”. If you want products compared against each other, this is not that site.
The part of this site meant to be used against any product is the all-in cost calculator. The rubric below is one worked example of a method, applied end to end and shown in full.
The five components
All-in monthly outlay — software, platform, data and any required hosting. This is the hurdle a strategy clears before the trader sees a dollar, so it carries the most weight.
Whether the product places trades, assists a human, or only signals. A tool that needs you at the desk is not automation regardless of what it costs.
Instruments and markets genuinely supported, including whether smaller contract sizes are available to smaller accounts.
Monitoring, automatic recovery from disconnects and platform restarts, and the support attached. Unattended systems fail operationally far more often than they fail strategically.
Whether the logic is describable. A buyer who cannot say what a system does has no basis for deciding whether a losing month is variance or breakage.
What is deliberately excluded
Published returns. No component scores a product on advertised performance. A return quoted without its maximum drawdown and the period it covers is marketing rather than evidence, and vendor backtests are not independently verifiable. Nothing here is rewarded for claiming a good year.
Unverified pricing. Where a price has not been read off the vendor’s own page and dated, it is not published as a price and is excluded from the cost component rather than estimated. The assessed product’s pricing was last checked on 2026-08-13.
Trading capital. Money in your account is exposed to risk, not spent, so a recommended starting balance never enters the cost component or the calculator. Folding capital into a price inflates it.

Commercial relationships
This is a for-profit publication and we may earn a fee when a reader clicks through or purchases. Coverage is not a census of the market — one product is assessed, which is stated in the eyebrow above every scorecard. The component marks are recorded per component and shown in full above, so the working is checkable even though the relationship is not arm’s length.
On structured data. The scorecard emits customer-review markup — aggregate rating and individual reviews — built from the same set displayed on the page. Those reviews are collected by the vendor rather than by this site, and they concern a product connected to this site’s operator. The figures match the page exactly, but both facts are restrictions under Google’s review-snippet policy, so the rich result may legitimately be declined. The editorial mark itself is never emitted as rating markup.
