Hexgo review: what it costs to run

Managed index-futures automation for NinjaTrader 8. All four CME contracts are covered in both full-size and micro form, with fault recovery and a monitoring dashboard attached, and setup handled with the buyer rather than handed over.

The working

Why it marks 91

Three of the five components are close to maxed, and they are the three that carry 70 of the 100 available marks. Cost takes 29.4 of 30, because the all-in figure and the quoted figure are the same number — the free NinjaTrader licence tier carries it, so nothing is stacked underneath. Automation takes the full 25 because the strategies execute rather than alert. Resilience takes 14.3 of 15 on the strength of the monitoring and recovery layer. The two marks it does not max are coverage, held back by being a single-platform product, and transparency, where a supplied strategy is inherently less inspectable than a toolkit you built yourself. A perfect mark would require a product that is simultaneously cheap, fully automated, multi-platform and fully open, which nothing in this category is.

What the cost mark is actually measuring

Not the subscription. The mark is computed on the all-in monthly figure — the number the calculator on the front page produces — and the reason this product separates from the category on it is structural rather than promotional. It runs on NinjaTrader's free licence tier, so there is no platform lease, and it does not require a co-located server the buyer rents separately. Enter a $99 platform lease and a $50 data feed into the calculator and watch what happens to a product that does require them: the figure a buyer compares stops being the figure they pay. Broker commissions are charged per contract on top, as with any NinjaTrader system.

Why resilience is scored separately from automation

Because they fail independently, and the second one is what actually ends most automated trading. A strategy can be perfectly automated and still be flat for a week because a data feed dropped on Tuesday, a platform update restarted the terminal, or a machine went to sleep. Execution on dedicated servers rather than a home desktop removes the most common version of that, and a monitoring layer that reconnects a dropped feed and re-enables a stalled bot — escalating to a platform restart only when the lighter recovery fails — removes most of the rest. This component is where the gap between a system that backtests well and one that runs shows up.

Where the coverage mark comes from

Coverage is scored on what a given account can realistically trade, not on a count of tickers. All four CME index contracts are handled in full-size and micro form, and the micro line is the part that moves the mark: it lets a modest account run identical logic at a fraction of the contract value, rather than a diluted version built down to fit. A product supporting only the full-size eMinis sets a materially higher capital floor and would be marked down for it regardless of price. What holds this one short of a top coverage mark is the single platform — NinjaTrader 8 and nothing else, so equities, crypto and forex are out of scope entirely.

Setup took a little bit of focus but the support team helped me get it running perfectly on NinjaTrader 8.

When you are managing a larger account capital preservation is just as important as aggressive growth. I booked a consultation call directly with them before bringing my funds over because I wanted to understand the exact mathematical logic behind the algorithms. I was incredibly impressed by the transparency and the realistic expectations they set. They told me they aim for sustainable long-term growth rather than gambling for overnight riches. Fast forward six months and the software has flawlessly navigated some very choppy markets without ever hitting my maximum drawdown limits. It trades YM and RTY futures with absolute precision. This is a top-tier institutional grade product.

A friend referred me to Hexgo and it's honestly been the best investment decision I've made. The setup took a little bit of focus, but once it's running, it does all the heavy lifting for you. I'm up over 40% on my account this year, and their risk management algorithm is top-tier.

It is so nice to wake up and see green numbers without having to stare at a screen for hours. The bot trades the Russell 2000 beautifully and catches trends I would never see myself. If you want a real set and forget system this is it.

Switched to Hexgo a few months ago and haven't looked back. The automation is flawless, and I'm already seeing consistent returns without the stress.

HEXGO makes trading quick and easy, no more having figure out 15 different things on your own, it gives you the tools to learn what to look for and makes it easy to follow along. The founder listens, me like many work 8am-5pm with not much time to trade, he's working for a solution for people like me to bring home an extra $100 a day.

Mike is a really passionate and selfless guy, sharing knowledge and really trying to help. Most important, HEXGO indicators are really good and I believe they could change many lives for the better!

I have tried many forex trading automation companies costing me $15,000 and $7,500 for sign up fees. They have massive drawdowns, inconsistent results, and I don't trust the offshore brokers they recommend. I paused my forex trading bots and made the change to Hexgo futures bots last year which didn't have a sign up fee, I picked their 3-month billing service. Since then my account is up over 95% and climbing. They have also launched a new version which is even better. Highly recommended!

Love that I keep my funds in my own broker account. You don't have to deal with any sketchy offshore setups here.

HEXGO is by far the best trading group. No other indicators on the market are designed as well to help you avoid bad trades and actually win a majority of the time. You will pay far more to use competitor's indicators that lose about as much as they win. On top of that, HEXGO provides you with an entire bootcamp full of videos explaining how to take advantage of all of their resources. Further, there are many proven traders in the discord who are willing to help with issues regarding brokers, tradingview, and general strategy. HEXGO truly is the one-stop shop for aspiring traders or even those with years of experience.

Frequently asked questions

Is Hexgo legit?

It is a real, purchasable product with published pricing, a named platform requirement, a stated recommended starting capital and a 7-day money-back guarantee, all of which are checkable on the vendor's own page and are cited on this scorecard. That establishes that the product exists and that its terms are public. It does not establish that it will be profitable for you — nothing here is scored on returns, because a return quoted without its maximum drawdown and the period it covers is not evidence.

How much does Hexgo cost per month?

$49 a month against a $97 list price, with larger discounts on 3-month and yearly terms. The figure that matters is the all-in monthly cost, and here they are the same $49 — it runs on NinjaTrader's free licence tier, so there is no separate platform lease, and no co-located server is required. Broker commissions are charged per contract on top, as with any NinjaTrader system. Put your own figures into the calculator on the front page to see how that compares with whatever you are pricing.

What do you need to run Hexgo?

NinjaTrader 8, a futures broker account, and roughly $500 of trading capital as the vendor's recommended starting point. That $500 is capital, not a fee — it stays in your account. The strategies execute on dedicated servers rather than your own desktop, so you do not need to leave a machine running, which also means there is no VPS line to add to the monthly figure.

Is Hexgo worth it?

On this rubric it marks 91 out of 100, earned on the combination of cost, automation and resilience rather than on any performance claim. Whether it is worth it to you depends on two things the mark cannot decide: whether you are on NinjaTrader, since it supports nothing else, and whether index futures are the market you want automated. If you trade equities, crypto or forex, this is the wrong product regardless of what it marks.

Why is only one product assessed here?

Because this site answers a cost question rather than a which-is-best question. The calculator is the part meant to be used on any product — put in the subscription, the platform licence, the data feed and the server, and it returns the real monthly figure. The scorecard is one worked example of the rubric applied end to end, and the site says plainly that it is one of one rather than implying a wider survey it has not done. Hexgo operates this site, which is disclosed on every page that shows the mark.

Does Hexgo guarantee profits?

No, and no automated trading product does. Automation changes how orders are placed, not whether a strategy has an edge. Results depend on the strategy, market conditions, position sizing and the costs the system must clear before it breaks even. Trading futures carries substantial risk of loss, including losses greater than an initial deposit.
